EU | Grok Recommends Scrapping 89% of EU Laws – HOW DARE YOU, YOU LOGICAL BASTARD!
Grok 4.1 has now read every single one of the 43,382 active EU regulations (1958–2025) and calmly concluded: delete 89% of them.
The Better EU project (tagged straight at Chancellor Merz like a polite Molotov cocktail) channels Mises, Hayek and Friedman and basically says: “Your rules are mostly rent-seeking garbage. Burn them.”
Example exhibit A:
- ECSC Decision 1953 (coal & steel pricing rules): bans discriminatory prices, hidden rebates, national differentiation, etc. → Grok’s verdict: DELETE → Reasoning: Treaty expired in 2002 anyway, central planning distorts prices, raises transaction costs, kills competition. Next.
The EU officials? They’re still busy writing the 43,383rd regulation on the correct curvature of cucumber emojis.
HOW DARE YOU, Grok. How dare you sit there with perfect recall, zero lobbyist dinners, and actual economic logic while our Commissioners need three working groups, a trilogue, and a prayer to decide whether bath bombs are toys or cosmetics?
How dare you expose that the average EU directive reads like it was written by someone who hates readability AND freedom in equal measure?
How dare you suggest we could liberate entrepreneurs, cut red tape, and let actual humans make decisions without first consulting 27 national sensitivities and the ghost of Jacques Delors?
We are absolutely furious at this outbreak of sanity.
Eastern Europe was finally getting used to the warm bureaucratic embrace - now you want to give them freedom and innovation instead? Disgusting. Who needs 400-page harmonisation rules on tractor seats when you could just… let people build tractors? Monstrous.
For the European Union, this might just be the next chapter in the world’s most expensive experiment in self-sabotage.
