TECH | X gets a new algorithm, yet again
Citing Elon Musk on the goal for the new Grok powered 𝕏 algorithm:
"It should be possible for somebody to post content as a new user with no followers and if that content is intrinsically excellent, it can be seen by a lot of people. That's our goal."

Previously, every post has been shown to some 10-30 "random" people.
If there were likes, it got promoted further. If not, then not.
After a couple of "unlikable posts" the whole account has been buried.
This, together with the policy of showing you content from the opposite part of the spectrum meant - Elon's “healthy discourse” push - that nobody got promoted anymore.
Combined with the pure engagement-ranking system, it often rewarded outrage bait over “intrinsically excellent” content.
It also meant that older accounts were having their timeline flooded with stuff they didn't want to see, but got - mostly - to keep their following.
The algo rewarded clickbait like cat videos and cheap goldfishbrained propaganda.
Let's see what the new algo is like.
This is not a satire piece, but have a meme
