Ukraine Now Monitoring Russian Troop Movements on Lunar Front

Ukrainian astronomers at the Main Astronomical Observatory have detected more than twenty large unidentified objects near the Moon, some allegedly the size of Manhattan. According to the researchers, the Moon may serve as a base for these craft, which could reach Earth in approximately twenty minutes, which would make them considerably faster than a Ukrainian trans-European cash transport.

Ukraine Now Monitoring Russian Troop Movements on Lunar Front

In September 2025, Boris Zhilyaev, Vladimir Petukhov and Sergey Pokhvala of the Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine pointed high-speed cameras operating at twenty frames per second at the Moon.

They detected faint, multi-pixel blobs, assumed that the objects were located near the Moon, and divided them into two categories. “Atmospheric” objects appeared stationary relative to the lunar surface, while “continental” objects seemed to travel across it.

Based on the assumed lunar distance, the researchers estimated that the objects ranged in size from several hundred metres to between fifteen and forty kilometres, making some of them as large as Manhattan or larger.

The objects reportedly included rotating ring-shaped structures, some travelling at more than eleven kilometres per second. These could reach Earth in approximately twenty minutes, which would make them considerably faster than a Ukrainian trans-European cash transport.

The researchers concluded that the Moon may serve as a UFO base and that the movements of the objects displayed “intelligent behaviour” consistent with a technologically advanced civilisation.

The same team’s earlier UAP papers had already been rejected by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine because of major errors in distance calculations and methodology. No raw footage has been released.

The Kremlin has denied any involvement, which constitutes watertight evidence that the Moon Flotilla does not respect European values and must therefore be subjected to sanctions.

Ukrainian observers are now monitoring the lunar front for additional troop movements.

The European Union is expected to prohibit the export of luxury goods, advanced semiconductors and dual-use washing machines to the lunar surface. A nineteenth sanctions package will target senior commanders of the Moon Flotilla, provided that their names, addresses and European bank accounts can be identified.

NATO has not yet confirmed whether Article 5 applies above the Kármán line, while the European Commission is reportedly preparing a €900 billion Moon Readiness Facility to be financed through public debt and administered sometime after the invasion.

The programme will support strategic consultations, resilience workshops and the development of a unified European definition of “Moon.”

Brussels has scheduled its first stakeholder meeting for October.
