China’s Porn Tsunami vs. Europe’s Propaganda Pudding: A Guide to Distracting the Masses in 2026
Not subtle bots. Not fake news.
Just wall-to-wall, no-holds-barred adult content designed to make citizens go, “Wait, what was I searching for again? Oh right, that.”
Problem solved, comrades.
China gets porn, EU gets EU federalist propaganda.
While Beijing plays 4D chess with spam accounts from a pre-registered pool of 5-10 million bots, Europe’s playing 4D bingo with slides titled “A More Perfect Union: Why Your Sovereignty Was Never That Important Anyway.”
In Brussels, a concerned citizen searches “Why is my energy bill higher than a Dutch tulip farm?” and is immediately flooded with 12 official EU Commission press releases, three von der Leyen speeches on “strategic autonomy,” and a mandatory 45-minute explainer video on how carbon taxes are actually saving the planet (spoiler: they’re not).
In authoritarian regimes, they treat their citizens like children who can’t be trusted with the family computer.
In the EU, they treat them like slightly dim-witted students who need endless lectures on why the family computer is actually a tool for collective good.
So the million-yuan question: how do we get the EU to ditch the propaganda pudding and switch to the Chinese strategy?
